CHARLES LONG STUDIO

One of the longest-practicing professional artists in Cayman, Charles Long, works out of his studio/gallery near Pedro St James, the Island’s only historic Great House. Long has been using his paintbrush to capture the everyday scenes of our quickly evolving island since the late 1960s. Inspired by Post-Impressionist artists Rousseau, Gauguin, and Picasso, his paintings have a highly stylised and decorative quality, with frieze-like landscapes in bright colours that transform the environment into a myriad of patterns.
