Cayman Art Week is proud to collaborate with over 40 creative venues for 2024 and to celebrate Caymanian art through special events, pop-up interventions, and workshops alongside our Gallery and Studio tours.
All events are accessible by free Cayman Art Week Bus Tours (West, Central, and East) or by clicking the CAW Google Map for self-navigation.

A “Community Canvas” with Gordon Solomon
Join the team and the Brac community to create a CAW2024 painting and make your mark on the “Community Canvas” from 4:00 pm.
Additionally, join their “Mixed Jar”, an experiment of combining words and art from 6:00 pm.

Open House at the Minds Eye Centre
For Cayman Art Week, the Mind’s Eye Centre – former home of renowned Caymanian intuitive artist Gladwyn K ‘Miss Lassie’ Bush – will be showcasing a giclee exhibition of some of the artist’s most popular pieces.
Limited tours of her historic cottage will also be available.
Tours will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and are also accessible via the CAW East Bus Tour.

Participating galleries are open to welcome Cayman Art Week guests throughout art week from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Special appointments for viewing can be made directly with gallerists. Studios are open by appointment or as part of a scheduled tour.

CAW East – Gallery & Studio Bus Tour (Eastern Districts) - FEATURED TOUR
Join a curator-led bused tour of the Galleries, Studios, and Pop-Ups situated in South Sound, Savannah, Bodden Town, Breakers, North Side, and Industrial Park.
CAW East bus(es) will leave the National Gallery at 10:00 a.m. to tour the following venues: Kay Smith Studio, White Dog Art, Visual Arts Society (Pedro St. James), Miss Lassie’s at Mind’s Eye Centre, Iain MacRae Pop-Up (Gram Bella’s), Pure Art, Scott Swing, Avril Ward, and Artisan Metal Works.

Studio Tour: Visual Arts Society
The Visual Arts Society, Cayman’s longest-running art organisation, will be hosting an Open House on Saturday. Enjoy live pottery wheel demonstrations and a special exhibition by a VAS member artist at their Watler House Studio, located at Pedro St. James.

En Plein Air Painting, Cayman Brac
Simone’s Art Gallery, in collaboration with the Cayman Brac Artists-Meet group, will host an en plein air session for Cayman Art Week.
From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., join Simone in the front yard of her gallery to paint the Royal Poinciana in bloom. Please remember to bring your own chair and contact Simone’s if you to borrow art materials.

National Gallery Open House
Enjoy self-guided tours of three exhibitions at the National Gallery: ‘Ties that Bind,’ ‘The Cauling,’ and ‘Thatch Roofs & Ironwood Posts.’

Claire At The Beach Reception
Join artist Claire Pettinati for the special event Meet the Artist; Join the Vibe, sponsored by Aperol and Jacques Scott.
Enjoy preview access to her new exhibition, Between Light & Shadow: Observation Through Life and Dreams in the Cayman Islands, while enjoying complimentary Aperol Spritz cocktails and a selection of wines.

Goodness Reception
Nestled inside a historic building on Shedden Road, Goodness is a small creative store with a big heart. Their curated collection of body, home, and creative essentials features work by many local artists and artisans.
For their Cayman Art Week Pop-Up, they are hosting artist Martina Jackson and friends.

Mutiny ‘On Our Block’ Event
Mutiny, the premier streetwear atelier and label, is set to revive the spirit of urban creativity with the return of On Our Block, a cultural declaration of youth artistic expression through streetwear fashion.
Mutiny opens the doors of its industrial compound for an after-hours event, featuring a pop-up art installation by street artist Stefan Langlois and paying homage to local fashion icons fashion designer Jawara Alleyne and Mutiny’s Creative Director Josh Pearl. Langlois will unleash his creative vision using graffiti as his medium,
Transforming temporary ‘Wynwood Walls’ type structures into captivating canvases, attendees can also expect a sensory, low-key vibe, showcasing the pulse of contemporary street culture, with live garment cutting demonstrations by Alleyne, live graffiti art by Langlois, exclusive retail sale for premium streetwear fashion by Mutiny, refreshing libations, a live DJ, live skateboarding and infectious vibes throughout the night.

Reception at Sandon Feat Gallery
In celebration of the late CE Whitney, a renowned local artist, Sandon Feat Gallery will host an open-night reception from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with wine and a retrospective of CE Whitney’s artwork.

“What’s on the Easel?” with Gordon Solomon
Gordon Solomon welcomes the Brac community and visitors to get an exclusive look at “What’s on the easel?” This is a chance to see what the artist is currently producing and to talk with him about his artwork and process.

CAW Central / Art in the City – Gallery and Studio Tours (Central George Town) – FEATURED TOUR
Cayman Art Week and George Town Revitalisation (GTR) collaborate to bring you CAW Central and ‘Art in the City,’ which begins at 5:00 pm on Cardinall Avenue with entertainment and refreshments. Then, experience the very best of George Town’s Galleries, Studios, and Pop-Ups.
Confirmed venues include Guy Harvey Gallery, Claire At The Beach Studio, Island House Gallery, Sandon Feat Gallery, 3 Girls and a Kiln, Goodness Pop-Up, Art Nest Studio, Happy Hour at the Wicket (from 5:00 pm, Cricket Square), ‘On Our Block’ at Mutiny Pop-Up, Ngara Galleries, Le Vele Pop-Up, Crucial Ink Gallery, Martlet Studio and the Cayman Islands National Museum.
For the second year, you can visit the complimentary Aperol Spritz station on Cardinall Avenue between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Grab a cocktail while you explore the Galleries and Pop-Ups throughout George Town.
Select George Town eateries will also extend discounted dining as part of the initiative.
The evening can be navigated via the free CAW Central hop-on hop-off bus tours, which will run on-loop between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. from participating venues, or using the walking map provided by the CAW Hub on Cardinal Avenue. The evening can also be self-guided.

Visual Arts Society Pop-Up Gallery & Market
The Visual Arts Society (VAS) will host a Pop-Up Gallery Art sy (Piccolino’s) and Market (Bevvy) on 23 and 24 May. The event will feature fine art alongside various artisans displaying handcrafted crafts using different mediums. There will also be artist meet-and-greets and live demos. Featured artists include Aimee Randolph, Janice Brown, Sandra Castillo del Busto, Tricia Sybersma, Dinah Green, Gale Tibbitts, Cally Clark, and Delbra Campbell.
Enjoy complimentary refreshments.
Parking is available at the adjacent lot next to Sunset Cove. This event is also part of the CAW West Bus Tour.

In support of Cayman Art Week and our local art industry, don’t miss this unique opportunity to meet the artists behind the National Gallery's recent exhibition, 'Tangled World.'
Linda McCann and Babbity Barwick are taking their work to Cricket Square. Their captivating, mangrove-inspired art will be on display at The Wicket from 10:00 a.m.
Meet the artists at Friday Happy Hour from 5:00 p.m. as you gain a greater appreciation of the ecological importance of mangroves to protect, sustain, and facilitate the flourishing of life and human habitation in Cayman.
Enjoy exclusive food and drink specials.
The exhibition will be a stop on the CAW Central/ 'Art in the City' Bus Tour.

St. Ignatius 5th Annual Tour d'Art
The St. Ignatius 5th Annual Tour d’Art will be on the afternoon of Thursday, 23rd May, and the morning of Friday, 24th 2024. This year, they will be joining forces with the High Side for a whole school Tour d'Art! They have aligned the date of Tour d'Art to coincide with and support Cayman Art Week.
The event is organised to showcase the amazing artistic abilities of the students using their outside classroom, bulletin boards, and walkways to display student art. Parents and the community are invited to take a tour of our art displays from the Nursery all the way to the High Side.
There were no limitations on what type of art the students could create! There is clay work, paintings, drawings, collages, self-portraits, fluid art, recycled art, and more!

Following the CAW West Tour, join Carlos V. Garcia and guest artists for a special after-hours event at his popular contemporary art venue in The Grove.

Oceans & Shores Augmented Reality Art Reception
Join artist Ruby Marr, whose latest exhibition, ‘Oceans & Shores,’ will transform the way you experience art in Cayman. Transforming her original artworks with augmented reality, the ocean appears to come to life on the walls of Union Bar & Grill, with movement and soundscapes.
This special reception will feature rum punch, canapes, and live jazz music.

Cera-Tan Kennaird Reception at Quinntessential Movement
Discover the journey of 'Transformation: Navigating Change and Resilience' by artist Cera-Tan Kennaird. Enjoy art tours throughout the evening and join the artist as she discusses her creative journey (7:00 pm).
This multidisciplinary art event will also include a captivating dance performance by Quinntessential Movement and an aerial performance by Renee, from Sannyasa Yoga & Acro with one of her students.
